Crawford Announces Arrest Of Auto Repair Shop Owner
TALLAHASSEE – Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Bob Crawford today announced the arrest of a South Florida auto repair shop owner for making unnecessary repairs to two vehicles earlier this year.
Charged with a scheme to defraud, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison, was William J. Louberti Sr., who does business as City Auto Works, of 1401 Broadway, Riviera Beach.
In addition to the arrest, Crawford today imposed an emergency suspension order on the business, prohibiting it from continuing to operate. The department also issued an administrative complaint which seeks to revoke the business' registration, directs that it discontinue repair shop activities and seeks the imposition of a $8,000 fine. According to a complaint filed in the case, Louberti, on two separate occasions, told undercover officers who were investigating the shop that they needed new alternators in cars loaned to Crawford's Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement by the Florida Highway Patrol. The new alternators ultimately were installed in the vehicles for $180 and $200 respectively.
The complaint alleges that immediately before visiting the shop, a certified master mechanic with Crawford's office determined that the alternators that were in place before the shop visits were in perfect working condition.
The investigation of the shop was triggered by consumer complaints to Crawford's office and the Riviera Beach Police Department, which worked together on the case. A warrant was issued by the Palm Beach County State Attorney's office.
"Consumers are entitled to be treated fairly by repair shops," Crawford said. "Those who seek to defraud our citizens will be subjected to every sanction available to us, from criminal prosecution to closing down their businesses."

In East Tennessee, Louberti's new Venture went under the name of "East Tennessee Home Repair". He took money from unsuspecting citizens (many retired veterans or hard working employees) and fled with their money, without providing services. In some cases services provided were either not needed, not completed, or performed unsatisfactorily. SOUND FAMILIAR. In Cocke County, the judge ruled in favor of the victims.
Unfortunately Willaim Louberti FLED (back) to Florida, his old stomping grounds. THis person MUST BE STOPPED. Until he resolves his Tennessee law suit (in at least one case) efforts are being made to sieze property, and the TBI and FBI are investigating. In this ONE case alone he was ORDERED to PAY over $2,200.00. Instead, he fled.
"INSTEAD HE FLED" is the title of a NEW BOOK being finalized, to help unsuspecting consumers protect themselves from fiscal predators like LOUBERTI ! He, like OTHERS have changed their NAMES, but the colors of the spots on a leapard can never change. People can assume NEW identities, new business dealings, become religious, find God and still commit criminal acts.
Louberti may think he got away with Larceny, but our fervent efforts will ensure that (if nothing esle) he ends up behind bars, where he belongs.

At the afformentioned court ruling in Tennessee, Mr. Louberti brought a family member as a character witness. It should be noted that she was also incarcerated for her involvement in creating and / or maintaining PORNOGRAPHIC WEBSITES. She was rude, arrogant and un-Christian like at the court, and the Judge still ruled against THEM. Now this Witness is a born again Christian. Where's HER conscience??????
